WHY WE RUN OUR OWN PULSECHAIN NODE · NUMBERS MEASURED 08 OCT 2026 12:04 UTC
1. What a full node is
A full node keeps its own copy of PulseChain and checks every block itself. Ours runs both halves (execution + beacon) on our own server.
Right now: block 27,744,742, in sync, 50 peers.
Every number PulseWheel shows starts from this copy of the chain, not from someone else's.
2. Our own node vs a shared RPC
Median of 9 calls, measured from our server just now:
• our own node: 0.3 ms
• the public PulseChain RPC: 32.9 ms
A trading tool that leans on a shared endpoint inherits its rate limits and its outages. Ours reads its own copy of the chain.
3. The swap indexer
Our indexer reads PulseX's own Swap and Sync events, block by block, straight from our node.
Last 24h: 198,842 swaps across 16,424 pools. Last 7 days: 1,842,608.
That tape is what the board judges every token on.
4. Local candles, no middleman
Every swap becomes a 1-minute candle in our own database: 27.5 days of history so far, last trade seen 66s ago.
The calibrator reads our candles first. If our indexer ever falls more than 10 minutes behind, the calibrator refuses to give a verdict and says "our data path", never "the market".
5. Fake pools don't count
A contract can emit fake Swap events to paint a chart. Our indexer only prices a pool if PulseX's own factory created it and still maps that pair to it.
Pools seen: 64,638 · verified: 59,554 · rejected: 5,084. Rejected pools are never priced.
6. Test before trading
Every 30 minutes we copy the latest PulseChain block into a private test fork and run the wheel's actual swap, sell and bulk-sell code against the real PulseX contracts.
Last run: 42 passed · 0 failed. No real funds are touched; a failure pages the operator before it can reach a wallet.
7. Reconciled to the wei
Once a day, every move of our public test wallet is traced on-chain and checked against its own books, down to the wei.
So far: 13 of 13 days reconciled clean. If one number ever disagrees, the whole test fails. No edits after the fact.
8. The board is open to anyone
The board is public, no key needed. Paste this in any terminal or browser:
https://dtgc.io/api/rh/pls/flywheel-leaderboard
Right now it holds 26 judged tokens with every band, fill count and verdict. It's rebuilt every 2 hours.
9. How a token earns a wheel · 1/4: the universe
How a token earns a wheel · 1/4 · the universe
1. A verified PulseX pool against WPLS, DAI or a verified stable
2. ≥ $5k in reserve and ≥ 4 swaps in the last 28h (from our indexer)
3. ≥ 100 trades in 24h to be judged at all
Today: 173 tokens in the universe → 26 active enough to judge.
urmom and DTGC are never candidates: no automation buys or sells them.
10. How a token earns a wheel · 2/4: the calibration
How a token earns a wheel · 2/4 · the calibration
We replay the token's real PulseX trades from our own candles.
• The band is chosen on the first 70% of the 28h window and scored on the last 30% it never saw
• Bands swept from ±3% to ±25%; only bands at least 2× the round-trip cost (pool both ways + measured impact + gas) are allowed
• With 10+ days of history, it's re-tested on a 30-day fit and a 7-day holdout it never saw
11. How a token earns a wheel · 3/4: the fly bar
How a token earns a wheel · 3/4 · the fly bar
• Holdout: ≥ 4 fills (2 round trips) and a result ≥ 0 after costs
• Live PulseX quote at 100k PLS: impact ≤ 5%, round trip ≤ 5%
• Rug check below HIGH (a real buy-and-sell simulation plus risk flags), no pull or backdoor signature
• Not down more than 35% in 24h
Clears all of it → proven. Exactly 3 holdout fills with everything else clean → bench (shown, never bought).
Today: 0 proven of 26: none.
12. How a token earns a wheel · 4/4: after it's chosen
How a token earns a wheel · 4/4 · after it's chosen
• Our wheel buys only if band − round-trip cost − impact − gas is still positive
• It sells at +band and re-arms below the last sell
• A crash guard cuts a tranche that falls min(25%, 3× band), and it runs first on every tick
• A fresh calibration that says "no longer flies" parks the slot and exits to PLS, then waits for the next good token
• In your own wheel, each slot is Auto (acts on its own) or Notice (asks you first). The crash guard fires either way.
13. Why the board says no
Today: 26 judged → 0 proven.
The most common stop: too few fills to prove an edge (24 tokens). A token that barely traded in the holdout hasn't proven anything, however clean its chart looks.
An honest board says no far more often than yes. That's the point.
14. We show our own losses
Our public test wallet, day 13 (the 7-day test, extended: day-7 verdict FAIL): -19,425.06 PLS since the start, +0.00 on the day, reconciled clean to the wei.
A tool that only shows its wins is marketing. We post the red days the same way.
Every number on this page is re-measured from our own node, indexer and the board's open data. Not financial advice.
